Compassion are our Concert sponsor for 2018 they are a leading child development charity, working with local churches in developing countries to release children from poverty. Their approach is a personal one: they link a child in poverty with a sponsor who provides them with access to education, health checks and the care of a church-based Compassion project.
Working in partnership with churches in 25 developing countries compassion passionately believe local churches are best positioned to respond to the individual challenges and needs of their communities.
For just 83p a day, sponsorship provides a child in poverty with:
Nutritious food, .health check-ups, the opportunity to go to school or access educational training, personal attention and guidance from loving staff members, an age-appropriate Bible and Biblical teaching, literacy and life-skills training, vocational training such as bead-making or carpentry, encouragement from your letters
The unique structure of compassions one-to-one model allows sponsors to see the difference being made over time. Sponsors receive letters, photo updates and news from their sponsored child’s project.
Independent research shows that children sponsored through the Compassion programme are more likely to finish their education, find jobs and become community leaders. Through sponsorship, they're impacting children, families, communities and entire nations.

Bible Society helps people around the world have access to the Bible and engage with it. Our belief is that people’s lives can radically change when they open up God’s Word for themselves.
That single conviction drives us to translate and distribute the Bible all over the world. We also invest in leadership training, literacy programmes, and interfaith dialogue. Closer to home, in England and Wales, we focus on helping people engage with the Bible through a range of Bible resources and events.
This year at One Event, we are showcasing the brand new edition of The Bible Course, written and presented by main stage speaker Andrew Ollerton. It’s an 8-session interactive course helping you see the BIG picture and discover how the Bible applies to your life today. Using a unique storyline, the course will enhance and inform your ongoing Bible study, whether you are new to the Bible or want to go deeper.

Feed the Hungry
Feed The Hungry is celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this year as a Christian Humanitarian Relief Organisation. We follow Christ’s calling to fulfil the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people in crisis. Through financial and prayer support like yours, we deliver food and supplies using a pastor-to-pastor, church-to-church strategy.
Feed the Hungry directly oversees the entire relief process to make sure your contributions get into the hands of those who need it most—when they need it most. Before distributing food, we secure guarantees from government agencies, giving us the right to distribute food directly through local churches who know the people—and the need—in their communities. Under local Church direction and leadership, food is distributed as intended. Even more important, Christ is shared with hurting people who need to hear of His love! As part of our commitment to Churches in the UK we have developed a community engagement event, Hand To Hand, that helps bring churches, schools and communities together to help those most at need across the globe.
